After a career in medicine and the software industry, I decided to convert my passion for gardening and creativity into a career by training in practical horticulture with the RHS and a Diploma from the British Academy of Garden Design. I bring high levels of professionalism, analytical ability and attention to detail in my design work. It is not just about a beautiful creation but also about form, flow and function.

My ethos is to develop eco-friendly and sustainable gardens without compromising on elegance and beauty. I aim to source locally and reuse and recycle materials where possible.

BORDER REFRESH SERVICE
This would be suitable if you want to renovate a border or two, perhaps inject more kerb appeal. Maybe you need planting inspiration or like to achieve the elegance you desire. Maybe you want a mixed edible border but don't know where to begin. Even small urban spaces like a courtyard or a balcony can be refreshed.

I will visit the site and discuss your requirements. I will do a site assessment and take some measurements. Based on these, I will provide a tailored quote.
I can also supply the plants and organise planting, so you can sit back and enjoy your garden effortlessly.

For a more cost-effective option, this is can be done online as well. I will send you a questionnaire to collect your requirements, including details like border size and aspect. I would also request you send some photographs of the space. Based on these, I will create a tailored Planting Plan for you. This will include a drawing showing placement of the plants, detailed list of plants and quantity and size (i.e. 2L pot) to purchase. You will be able to purchase these at reputed nurseries locally or online.

GARDEN DESIGN CONSULTATION SERVICE

This may be of interest to you if you already have some ideas for your garden but would like to refine them or address a problem area. Maybe you want a quick fix to your design dilemmas and then make the changes yourself.

I can do a 1 or 2 hour on-site consultation and advise on how you can improve the use and design of your space.

FULL GARDEN DESIGN SERVICE
​
1. Initial meeting
At the initial meeting, we will discuss your vision and ideas on-site and I will do an initial assessment of the garden.
Based on these, I will provide a tailored quotation.

2. Site survey
Once the quote has been accepted, I will return for a detailed site survey, measurements and photographs. We will have a further consultation and continue to develop the brief. We will discuss styles, materials, lighting and other specifics that would form the basis of the concept drawings.

3. Concept Plans
At the next site visit I will present concept plans, sample images, colour palettes to help with the visualisation of your design. Any modifications will be discussed and incorporated, after which I will send out the concept plans for sign-off.
These will form the basis for the final set of drawings.

4. Final design and working plans
I will then create a final set of detailed plans with measurements and materials.
These will allow landscapers to quote accurately for construction. A detailed Planting Plan will be produced, which would include a full list and quantities of specific plants that will be needed to bring the garden to life.
A maintenance plan will also be provided which will allow correct and timely care of your newly designed garden.

Charges depend on the size of the space and complexity of design and requirements.

5. Build
I can source landscapers and organise quotes for your review. Or if you have your own landscaper I can source your plants and other garden accessories as per the design.
I can project management the design to completion. I have over 10 years experience in managing complex projects so I understand the intricacies of managing multiple teams and importance of good communication.
